Our Review
I've never had a soft spot for Sinatra but I must have woken up on an easy listening side of the bed, because Christmas with Sinatra and Friends is going down easy first thing this morning. The disc opens with a spirited rendition of Christmas Waltz. Sinatra slams down nine in a row like so many shots of bourbon, each one stronger than the last. Along the way he shares a couple of shots with his friends, including Mel Torme (The Christmas Song), Tony Bennett and Bill Evans (A Child Is Born), Rosemary Clooney (White Christmas), and Ray Charles and Betty Carter (Baby It's Cold Outside). A veritable who's who of easy listening artists and tunes. If you're a Frank Sinatra fan--or even if you're not--this may be one to consider adding to your holiday collection.
