Our Review

A Yuletide Offering is a synthesized instrumental potpourri of traditional carols with an international flavor. Award-winning composer Jesse Ayers uses intensely creative arrangements to spice up numbers you have heard a million times before, but never quite like this. With only seven tracks spanning twenty minutes, the music ends much too quickly. My favorite moments include the deliciously mysterious bell-bonging Ukrainian Bell Carol and the percussively-poppin' Pat-a-Pan. Ayers' A Christmas Fantasia is vaguely reminiscent of a funkified Mannheim Steamroller production, and the "bonus track" Carribbean Fantasy on Joy to the World is an island delight.

Jesse Ayers is a talented fellow, and his Yuletide Offering is a charming concoction of electronic excitement for the holidays.
